Mehmet Oyal Special Education Application School
Mehmet Oyal Special Education Application School is the first and largest special education school established on the European side of Istanbul, providing education for children with moderate mental intelligence disorders through the primary education trainable children program given by the Ministry of National Education. Mehmet Oyal Special Education School also provides education for children with severe mental problems. These classes have 8 students, and two teachers teach in the classes. The building of Mehmet Oyal Special Education Application School is 2000 square meters, and 500 people can be in the building according to its capacity.
Education is Provided for Autistic Children
One of the educational services of Mehmet Oyal Special Education Application School is group training for trainable children, and for this work, support groups have been formed for autistic children. In this group training, group education is given to 3 or 6 students with similar characteristics and educational performance, taking into account their individual characteristics and educational performance. Group training can be session-based or full-time, depending on the situation. In group trainings, a total of 2 or 3 personnel are assigned, including 1 licensed teacher and 1 or 2 master instructors.
