Where Do the Woods Used in Countertops Come From?

As the demand and requests for wooden and oak countertop models have increased in today's market, many companies are producing them. Wooden and oak trees come from the forests growing in Turkey, and oak countertops are produced from these trees. It should be known that only old and dying trees are cut, and if these trees are not cut, they prevent sunlight and water from reaching the young trees growing underneath, thus hindering the growth of the forest. At the same time, all cut trees have the international FSC certificate, which shows that the sourced forest is maintained in a healthy way.

Do Hot Pots Damage Countertops?

It is not recommended to place pots and pans directly from the stove onto oak countertop models while they are hot. The oil on the countertops can withstand temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius and protects the wood most effectively. However, temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Celsius, if left on the countertop for more than approximately five minutes, will start to cause damage. But problems arising from heat and damages like scratches can be repaired through maintenance.
